    Product Description

    Instructions For Use, Bolex 155 Super 8 mm Camera with Macrozoom 8.5-30 mm f/1.9 lens.

    • Super 8 film in Kodak-type 50 ft. cartridges.
    • Cartridge duration: 3 min. 20 sec. at speed of 18 f.p.s.
    • Interval between two consecutive divisions of film counter : 8.3 sec. or 25" of film.
    • Filming speeds : 18 and 32 f.p.s.
    • Exposure time : 1/47 second at 18 f.p.s.
    • Electric motor fed by four "penlight" 1.5 volt batteries (international "A.A." size).
    • Photo-resistance fed by two long-life batteries, ref. Mallory PX-13.
    • Range of sensitivities : 25-160 ASA (15-23 DIN).
    • Diaphragm apertures : f/1.9 - f/16.

    The manual is in good shape. Normal edge wear and yellowing for age, the interior pages are fairly clean.

    Measures 5.125 x 7.125 inches (130 mm x 180 mm), 30 pages, with 1 page of OEM accessory information, including a single-frame release unit (for animating still subjects), automatic release, Bolex monopod, Bolex Minipod, the high output iodine-quartz Bolex-Lite S2 (650 W), especially designed for the 155 Macrozoom, and the protective carrying case with room for several Super 8 cartridges and the Multitrix. There is also a detailed depth-of-field chart for 8 mm, 15 mm, and 30 mm for each f-stop and distance setting in feet and inches.

    Starring in order of appearance: Stephanie Kaye, the Empire State Building, I. M. Pei's Kip's Bay apartments, Plaza Hotel, Ronnie & The Jitters playing a Rock Against Racism rally at Central Park Bandstand: Warren Keller on sax, Dave Post on bass, and Ronnie Decal on guitar, Joan Baez's nephew Nick Marden (in fedora and badged-up leather jacket), Neon Leon (last to see Nancy alive with Syd), Chinatown, Me, Jane Webb and Michael Trulinger at Flushing Meadows site of the 1964 World's Fair, The Plastics (at Irving Plaza), Klaus Nomi (at Exile in Brooklyn), The World Trade Center, Wolman Skating Rink, Saks Fifth Avenue, Fiorucci, and Maureen Hymers (wearing white slacks outside Fiorucci) who also handled camera on shots of me.
